Virat Kohli smashed his 71st international century to end a nearly three-year drought with his maiden T20I ton against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 on Thursday.
Kohli became the fourth Indian after Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to smash a hundred in all formats.
Kohli reached the feat with a six against Fazalhaq Farooqi off the 53rd delivery of his innings. The 33-year-old is currently the leading run-score of the Asia Cup, with 250-plus runs in five innings.
Kohli’s previous hundred had come against Bangladesh in a pink-ball Test on November 23, 2019.
